Here are four delicious avocado dips to serve in avocado shell-bowls.
Four different flavor profiles for four different avocado dips, each made in minutes.
There’s a good chance that if you come over to my house for a party, there will be a big bowl of guacamole out to dip various things in. Believe it or not though, even I can get bored with straight up guacamole.
These recipes take guacamole to the next level by making more of a dip out of it. Avocados can get pricy and these recipes extend their deliciousness with creamy Yoplait™ Greek yogurt and loads of other add-ins.
The other nice thing? Each recipe is portioned to be perfect for spooning back into the avocado so you can serve it in its own shell! It looks cool and makes for easy cleanup.

This version is the lightest of the four versions I made. It’s really basic and has nice, clean flavors.
I used a mix of chives, parsley, and cilantro, but almost any fresh herb would work just fine. If you’re using strong herbs like oregano or rosemary, start with just a little and add more if you like.
This version will sneak up on you! It has some great spice to it thanks to a good spoonful of Old El Paso™ taco seasoning.
I love the tomato add-in, too. They end up being little flavor jewels in the final dip.
This version is a more substantial Tex-Mex dip than the taco version.
This one is hearty. You could almost make a meal out of it, but it’s plenty good with sturdy tortilla chips.
And now for something out of left field! This is almost a brunch dip. I folded some traditional bagel toppings into the avocado base and it worked perfectly. A little goes a long way in the lox world, so don’t overdo it.
This is great with tortilla chips or bagel chips.
