5 Ways to Hack Your Holiday Bark

Are these five-minute microwave barks pretty enough to give, or too pretty to give away? You decide.

Five barks, one easy formula! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Sheet pan and parchment paper
  • 1 1/2 bags (12 oz each) chocolate chips, any flavor
  • Cereal, candy, pretzels, nuts, etc. for topping
  • Sprinkles or additional chocolate, if desired

STEP-BY-STEP

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave uncovered for one minute. Stir, and continue heating in short intervals until chocolate is smooth and glossy when you stir it.
  2. Pour chocolate out onto parchment and use a large rubber spatula to spread in a thin, even layer.
  3. Immediately press in your toppings and finish with sprinkles or a drizzle of melted chocolate if desired. Refrigerate until firm, and break into pieces to serve.
