Bites and Pieces - Taste for Adventure

The food blogosphere never sleeps. So Taste for Adventure editors scour the interweb for fresh recipes, tips and recommendations that deserve more love. Here are three finds we just had to share:

1. Smoked Salmon Waffles from Lisa is Cooking

There's something about miniature versions of foods that super sizes their appeal. Skeptical about fish waffles? Take one look at the photo of a stack of 'lil waffles, topped with creme fraiche, smoked salmon, and chopped chives, and tell me you wouldn't eat one. Or four. They are mini, after all!

2. Spicy Asian Salmon Over Rice from Le Chef's Kitchen

This recipe started off pretty simple in Drew's college days: salmon + soy sauce + brown sugar. Since then, it has been refined with about 8 other ingredients. Most are pantry items though, and you could be eating this one hour after entering the kitchen. You can profit from years of his experimentation, with no money down!

3. Pan Seared Salmon with Tomato Caper Relish from The Perfect Pantry

As great as salmon is, it can get boring by itself. Lydia has just the recipe to banish blandness: tomato caper relish. 100 bonus foodie points for using Kalamata olives, but if you do - heed her warning and make sure you wash off excess brine. Putting a tasty topping on fresh fish takes it to a whole different sea level!

We'll be back next week to shine the spotlight on the best food bloggers!
