Bites and Pieces - Taste for Adventure

The food blogosphere never sleeps. So Taste for Adventure editors scour the interweb for fresh recipes, tips and recommendations that deserve more love. Here are three finds we just had to share:

1. Low Fat Homemade Flour Tortillas from Amanda's Cookin'

There may be only a few ingredients in tortillas, but don't be fooled - there are tricks and techniques to totally trick out them out. Amanda combed through over a dozen recipes to come up with this lower fat version. Bonus: the faucet water technique!

2. Grilled Pork & Peppers Tacos from Coconut and Lime

Tacos on the grill? Yes! If you haven't dusted off your barbeque yet, this recipe is just the thing to get your summer grill on. And throwing some "uncooked" tortillas on there is a great way to get them crispy, yet soft. Your diners may eat so many they can't wok.

3. Quinoa Taco Salad from Gluten Free Goddess

People loved this one so much in our last salad feature, we're sharing it again. Leave behind the heavy, fat-laden taco salad of yesteryear. This fresh, healthier version uses one of the hottest ingredients of the past few years: quinoa. Perfect for picnics!
