Mint Julep Margarita

A huge crisis is on the horizon.

The Kentucky Derby falls on the same day as Cinco de Mayo.

What are we going to drink?!?!?

For those of you who can’t choose between the classic Mint Julep and Margarita, just do what I plan on doing, and mix them together!

This Mint Julep Margarita blends the most basic versions of both drinks into a fantastic hybrid.

Making mint syrup

First step is to make the mint syrup. Add some water to sugar and mint, bring to a simmer, and let it sit for about 20 minutes.

Putting all ingredients into shaker

Bourbon, tequila, lime, and mint syrup into the shaker.

Mint Julep Margarita ready to drink

Salt the rim of a glass and fill with ice. Pour in the drink and serve!
