Sweet and Savory Pillsbury™ Crescent Appetizers

Want appetizers that look fancy, but are incredibly easy to make?

Roll out some Pillsbury™ Crescent Roll dough and get started! We’ve got two tasty tarts – one sweet, one savory – that you can make at the same time.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Pinwheels

Preheat your oven to 375 F. Take a package of Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls and roll out the dough so it’s flat with no seams. Then cut it into 2x2 squares and make diagonal cuts in the corners about halfway to the center.
Grab some cream cheese and mix it with lemon zest, for some zing. (Plain cream cheese would work, too.) Then spread the cream cheese onto the middle of each crescent square and top with a strawberry.
One by one, lift one corner of the dough and fold it into the middle, pressing lightly, until you’ve formed the pinwheels. Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg and bake for 12 minutes.

Caprese Tarts

Keep that oven right at 375 F. Roll out another can of crescent dough so it’s flat with no seams, and cut it into squares.

This time, top each square with mozzarella and sliced cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and give a few shakes of salt and pepper on top. Bake for 12 minutes. Slice up some basil, sprinkle it on top and serve.
