Betty Crocker cookbooks have been pulled out at Thanksgiving time across America for decades.
Why? Well, the recipes are tested, tried and true. They work.
This image from Betty Crocker's Cookbook, New and Revised Edition was published in 1982. It shows women in the Betty Crocker Test Kitchens making, baking and testing all those delicious recipes in the cookbook.
And here's a killer – microwaves were still new enough then, so Betty thought it was a good idea to say "Including Microwave Recipes" right on the cover of the book!
The Betty Crocker Kitchens no longer sport the bright yellows, browns and oranges of the '80s, but they still hold the same mystique as they did then.
And they're still the center of more recipe creation and taste-testing than you can imagine!
