Hi, new to the group and I have to start checking what I eat. Bad cholesterol is to low along with low blood pressure. I eat alot of grass feed beef which is very good for people due to the omegia 3 and 6. I do have blood cancer which is no big thing to me and I keep it in check with papaya, makes the doctor mad, because I am supposed to be weak and unhealthy. I am fighting a high potassum rates and now looking for recipes to cut this down. This is going to be rough, because I like fried brossel sprout and corn on the cob fried. HAPPY NEW YEAR wa5ghr

Hi everyone, I am on a special diet as well- & actually hate fatty foods. I eat well, but it has to be good or I don't bother. Also I love colorful food. Until this year I had high blood pressure & cholesterol problem- I've got it under control now...I'm not overweight, just bad genes. All of my recipes are on the low fat/high fiber, lower sodium side. So, those of you with any special needs (oh, & I also have IC- making it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to eat) feel free to check out my shared recipes!!! Merry Christmas to all LMorella

Hi, I just joined here and I'm looking for low cholesterol, low sodium, low sugar, ....! everything seems to blend together and tasting the same. Also we need more fiber. I like the recipes I looked at this site today and I'm looking forward to try some of them.

Also a type 2 and a major Carnivore....so, yeah, I can only handle so much chicken myself. Unless you have been warned off red meat or ???? by a diabetic dietician, then what I have learned is "PORTION CONTROL, PORTION CONTROL, PORTION CONTROL" on anything & everything (protein, carbs, fats)... if you are newly diagnosed & haven't been sent to a dietician or "Living Well with Diabetes" class, then ask your doc to send you. Most docs are not highly trained in nutrition. I told a dietician, on my first appt after diagnosis, that I would just stay away from grains and I could be in control....she got very upset and said "If you have to eliminate one whole food group to control your BG, then something else is wrong"... If you can't get yourself to count carbs, then learn the plate method (you can even buy a plate that is divided in 1/2 & 1/4's to help you with this)... and if you can't do any other exercise, walk , walk ,walk..... *d

Both my husband and I are diabetics, along with several other health problems for both. I am new here and I think I am going to like it. though I am not an "inventer of new dishes" I am very glad others are. When we have tried some of your receipes I may try to rate one.

I live alone too and always welcome simple and easy recipes. Due to a diet restriction I can not have any "green" vegetables, have diabetes so no sugar, and then I can have no salt or fatty foods. Sure makes it hard to cook.
