    Ingredients

    • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

    Directions

    1. 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. 2Mix all ingredients except chocolate chips.
    3. 3When blended, mix in the chocolate chips.
    4. 4Using your fingers, form 1 1/2 inch balls (dough will be very wet and sticky) and place onto an un-greased parchment lined cookie sheet. You don't want to make them too big because they do spread.
    5. 5Bake for 9 minutes. Let the cookies sit on the cookies sheet for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before letting cool on a wire rack.
    6. 6Makes around a dozen small cookies.

These are a crowd pleaser! Wonderful! It certainly doesn't make 12 SMALL cookies though- try 14 LARGE cookies! On the bottom rack they need to be left several minutes longer than the top rack.

I make these but with a twist - add 1 ripe banana - smashed, of course - the Grandkids (and my son) just gobble them up

I've made these before too with just the egg, peanut butter, and sugar. Trust me...the baking soda does a ton for the texture of the cookie and the vanilla I think is always a must.

I am sure that is a misprint because i bake mine for only 10 to 12 minutes and then the cool time i dont put them on a wire rack as they are really soft and chewy and they fall apart so wax paper is the best way i do believe......anyone got milk

we made these as kids but not baking soda and no chocolate chips, and called them speach cookies as we used them to do our demo speech and always got an A plus as we made up and baked a batch ahead of time so they could taste them then in class mixed a batch and gave them too the teacher. Easy A........also great for those that cannot have gluten diet.

I have made these many times before and they are very good and very rich. And yes, no flour. This is a great recipe for people with wheat/gluten allergies. As far as the 5 hours prep time and 14 hours total time, someone made a mistake.

Why do these take 14 hours to make? Are they to be refrigerated or something? Also, no flour? Thanks!
