This fancy version of grilled cheese is beyond delicious. Brie blended with apples makes one sweet, melty sandwich.

Ingredients

4
ciabatta rolls, split
4
teaspoons Dijon mustard
4
oz Brie cheese, rind removed, sliced
1/2
lb thinly sliced ham
2
Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
4
teaspoons olive oil

Directions

  • 1 Heat closed contact grill or Panini press 5 minutes.
  • 2 Spread bottom halves of rolls with Dijon mustard. Layer with cheese, ham and apples, then tops of rolls. Brush outsides of rolls with olive oil.
  • 3 When grill is heated, place panini on grill. Close grill; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
Tips  

Tart apples work best in this recipe.

Cheddar cheese can be substituted for the Brie cheese in this recipe.
