Apple Cider Martini

This simple mix of rum and cider is autumn in a glass.

Ingredients

tablespoon cinnamon sugar

apple

ounces apple cider
1
teaspoon maple syrup
2
ounces spiced rum

Directions

  • 1 Fill a pint glass with ice.
  • 2 Pour two ounces of your favorite spiced rum into the glass.
  • 3 Pour two ounces of apple cider into the glass.
  • 4 Optional: Apple cider is already sweet, but if you want to add some extra sugar, add a teaspoon of maple syrup to the mix.
  • 5 Stir ingredients.
  • 6 Dust martini glass with cinnamon and sugar (create a mix using equal parts cinnamon and sugar). To get sugar to adhere to the rim of the glass, take and apple slice and trace the glasses rim. The dusting of sugar will stick to the juice. Garnish the glass with the apple slice, just be sure to remove those pits.
  • 7 Strain cocktail into glass and serve.

Ingredients you'll need for this one: Spiced rum, apple cider, maple syrup, cinnamon and sugar mix, and an apple.

Step 1: Fill a pint glass with ice.

Step 4: (Optional) Apple cider is already sweet, but if you want to make it even sweeter, add a teaspoon of maple syrup to the mix. Stir ingredients.

Step 5: Dust the rim of a martini glass with cinnamon and sugar (create a mix using equal parts cinnamon and sugar). To get the cinnamon and sugar to stick, take an apple slice and trace the rim of the glass. The dusting of cinnamon and sugar will stick to the juice. Garnish the glass with the apple slice; just be sure to remove those pits.
