Apple­Oat Pancakes are the delightful result when you cross apple crisp dessert with buttermilk pancakes. The delicious griddlecakes make a fine breakfast, casual supper or even afternoon "tea."

Ingredients

1/2
cup quick-cooking rolled oats
2
cups water
2
cups complete pancake and waffle mix (just add water)
1/2
cup shredded apple
2
tablespoons sugar
1/2
teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  • 1 In medium bowl, combine rolled oats and water; let stand 5 minutes.
  • 2 Spray large skillet or griddle with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium heat until hot, or to 375°F. Add all remaining ingredients to oat mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. (Batter will be thin.)
  • 3 For each pancake, pour 1/4 cup batter into hot skillet. Cook 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, turning when edges look cooked and bubbles begin to break on surface. Cook an additional 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with Hungry Jack® Microwave Ready Syrup.
