Whip up a batch of sweet cornmeal biscuits loaded with bacon bits. Mmm.

Ingredients

slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 1/4
cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1/2
cup yellow cornmeal
1/4
cup sugar
1/2
cup milk
1/4
cup butter, softened
3
tablespoons orange marmalade
1
tablespoon honey

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 425°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, cornmeal, sugar and bacon. Stir in milk until soft dough forms. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by 8 spoonfuls.
  • 3 Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 4 In small bowl, beat butter, marmalade and honey with whisk until blended. Serve warm biscuits with orange-honey butter.
Tips  

Save time by purchasing cooked real bacon pieces in a jar or package rather than cooking sliced bacon.

Try serving these biscuits with other flavored butters. Simply substitute your favorite flavor of jam, jelly or preserves for the orange marmalade.
