yeah, they only say to use Pre Cooked bacon, or can of biscuits to sell their products. you can do it yourself with very little extra time & effort and a lot less $$ spent.

These are yummy! I just made them today. Better late than never. I was going to make them around Brunch, but didn't make them until about 12-1. Anywho, I sprinkled just a little salt on top of it all before sticking in the oven and they turned out great! Next time I might need to double the recipe, because my stone is a little bigger than the glass baking dish requested to use. I love my stoneware! :)

I really need to try this one...sometimes I think I'm the only person that loves brunch but dislikes eggs. A little for dredging or a binder is fine, but so many recipes are egg heavy

This is a fantastic recipe. Easy to prepare and ultra-delicious! Eric and I were avoiding using utensils for last night's meal, and this fit our criteria. This is also a fantastic cold leftover. I had it for lunch today, too. :)

"Fold" means to scoop your spatula or spoon across the bottom and gently bring the mixture up and over, in essence, "folding" it. Add the instructed ingredients then repeat that action until combined. YouTube has several videos that will show you what it means, too.

for the individual in Australia, you can make biscuits from scratch, that should work sufficiently. Otherwise I would just look for a "pre-made" version of any brand variety available in your grocery stores if products of this nature are manufactured there.

@blennerhassett I was trying to look up what you guys call them in Australia, but no luck if you have them in your grocery/food store they should be with the dough products.. Good luck!

Oh, yeah, I forgot..... We "pull apart" like the name says, not cut in squares. Much more fun that way, especially if you are feeding kids!

EmmaRP, there's nothing missing, this is a pull-apart BREAD recipe. similar to Monkey Bread, which uses melted butter instead of milk/egg, and cinnamon, nuts, and/or raisins instead of bacon and onion. Auchickie: yes, you can make the night before, just cook a little longer. Note: I like to add a sprinkle of garlic powder to the egg/milk for a little extra flavor, and sometimes top the pan with shredded cheese when it's almost done, then pop it back in the oven so the cheese melts as it finishes baking. Yummm!!

so amazingly good! I didn't try making the day before, but did add an extra egg. these were beyond yummy! also, I didn't use precooked bacon, just cooked bacon and crumbled it in.

two questions: do we think it's possible to make this the day before and leave in the fridge until ready to cook (or take out and get room temperature before cooking)?

I agree with other posters, i would like to either serve this with eggs or add several more eggs to the recipe. Do we think (or has anyone tried it) adding more eggs would add a "scrambled egg" element to the pull aparts? Or just end up a royal mess?

    thanks- looks so yummy!

I'm thinking I might serve this with scrambled eggs - sounds good, but seems like it's missing something...like a side dish, that's a lot of biscuit and not much else.
