Dress up tender whole green beans with flavorful herbs and rich bacon for a tasty 20-minute side dish.

Ingredients

2
slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1
bag (22 oz) frozen whole green beans
2
tablespoons water
1/2
teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1
tablespoon butter or margarine

Directions

  • 1 In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towel.
  • 2 Add beans and water to skillet. Cover; cook over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are crisp-tender and water has evaporated.
  • 3 Stir in garlic-pepper blend, salt, thyme and butter until beans are coated. Sprinkle with bacon.
Tips

If you have fresh green beans, you can substitute them for the frozen.

This tasty vegetable dish is perfect to serve with any entrée, such as chicken or pork.
