Baked Club Sandwich Rounds

The filling--Cheddar, turkey and ham--bakes right inside the French bread; slicing the baked loaf reveals a pinwheel design.

I made this, and it was tasty. However, I had issues with the dough. It didn't roll out easily. I had to let the dough sit for about 20 mins., and then I rolled it out with a rolling pin. After I tasted it, I felt like it was missing something. So, I served it with spicy brown mustard. I would suggest, prior to adding the ingredients, spreading mustard, mayo, or another sauce directly on the dough (before baking). Another suggestion would be to brush the top of the dough with melted butter, sprinkle poppy seeds, and then bake. It slices nicely and would make a great appetizer for the holidays!

Really good for a simple recipe! The dough was a little tricky to work with, but well worth it!
