These easy, cheesey baked sandwiches have a delightful and delicious buttery onion topping.

Ingredients

petite bakery rolls
1
lb sliced deli cooked ham
1
lb sliced Swiss cheese
1/4
cup butter
1
cup diced onion
1/2
teaspoon ground mustard
1
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil.
  • 2 Split rolls; place bottoms in pan. Top each evenly with ham and cheese. Cover each with top of roll.
  • 3 In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter. Add onion, Worcestershire sauce and mustard; cook until onion is soft. Spoon over top of sandwiches.
  • 4 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Tips  

Serve with yellow mustard and other sandwich toppings, if desired.

Turkey and Cheddar would also be an amazing combination for this sandwich.
