Looking for a quick casserole recipe? Then check out this wonderful meatball, bean and biscuit meal ready in just 35 minutes.

Ingredients

2
(28-oz.) cans bold and spicy baked beans, undrained
1
(16-oz.) pkg. frozen cooked Italian meatballs, slightly thawed, each cut in half
1
cup frozen cut green beans
1/2
cup chopped onion
1
(6-oz.) can (5 biscuits) refrigerated fluffy buttermilk biscuits

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients except biscuits; mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • 2 Meanwhile, separate dough into 5 biscuits. Cut each into quarters.
  • 3 Spoon hot bean mixture into sprayed baking dish. Arrange biscuit pieces evenly over top of hot mixture.
  • 4 Bake at 375°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown.
Tips

If you're pressed for time, bake the biscuits in the oven while the meatballs and beans heat on the stovetop. Split the baked biscuits into thirds and put two or three pieces on each plate; serve the bean mixture over the biscuits.

Arrange the biscuit dough pieces over the casserole like a patchwork quilt. Sprinkle alternating biscuits with paprika or poppy seed to make the design colorful. Or, outline the top of each biscuit section after baking with a squirt of processed cheese product.
