Bananas and chocolate are a match made in heaven, and this combination of milk-chocolate chips snuggled inside of dark, moist banana bread is truly divine!

Ingredients

3
large bananas
1 1/2
cups sugar
1 1/2
cups dark brown sugar
1
teaspoon salt
2
teaspoons baking soda
4
large eggs
2/3
cup water
1
cup oil
3 1/2
cups flour
1 1/2
cups milk-chocolate chips (or semi-sweet, if preferred)

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray 2 loaf pans with non-stick baking spray (preferably the kind with flour in it).
  • 2 Peel bananas and add to large mixing bowl. With mixer, cream bananas and add sugar and brown sugar, salt and soda, mixing well. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add water and oil.
  • 3 Slowly add flour, mixing well. When all flour is added, beat well. Stir in milk-chocolate pieces.
  • 4 Pour into prepared pans and bake at 350° F for 60-65 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and edges of loaves are brown.
  • 5 Cool completely on a cooling rack before slicing.
