Jazz up breakfast or brunch by substituting biscuits and jam for easy jam straws!

Ingredients

can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2
tablespoons blueberry jam or preserves
Powdered sugar, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  • 2 Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles. Pinch perforations with fingers to seal.
  • 3 On 1 rectangle of dough, spoon jam down center. Using pastry brush, brush jam over surface of dough to within 1/4 inch from edges. Place remaining rectangle of dough over jam. Gently press edges together to seal.
  • 4 Using pastry cutter, pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut dough into 12 thin strips. Twist each strip of dough several times; place strips 1/2 to 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.
  • 5 Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Tips  

Substitute any jam of your choice.

Puff pastry sheets can be substituted for the crescent dinner roll dough.
