Hearty dinner ready in 25 minutes. Enjoy this tasty beef burger – perfect for Mexican meal.

Ingredients

1/4
cup corn flake crumbs
2/3
cup chunky-style salsa
1
lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
3/4
cup fat-free sour cream
2
tablespoons chopped green chiles (from 4.5-oz can)
1/4
teaspoon ground cumin
6
fat-free flour tortillas (8 to 10 inch)
1 1/2
cups chopped leaf lettuce

Directions

  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix corn flake crumbs and 3 tablespoons of the salsa. Stir in ground beef. Shape mixture into 6 round or long, narrow (hot dog-shaped) patties, 1/2 inch thick.
  • 2 In small bowl, mix sour cream, green chiles and cumin; set aside.
  • 3 When grill is heated, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill over medium coals; cover grill. Cook 11 to 13 minutes, turning once, until patties are no longer pink in center and juice is clear and thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F. Just before burgers are done, wrap tortillas in foil; place on grill for 1 minute to heat.
  • 4 To serve, sprinkle 1/4 cup lettuce down center of each tortilla. Top each with patty. Spoon sour cream mixture evenly over patties. Roll up tortillas. Serve with remaining salsa.
Tips

"Because we have burgers on the grill so often, I look for different ways to make them. Recipes need to be simple and foods that my 11-year-old and 7-year old will eat. This one fits all of those things." Kelly
