Better Than Sex Pie

The name says it all. Though this pie takes seconds to make, you'll wish it took hours to enjoy. Every bite is full of creamy, chocolately, caramelly, toffee-topped, peanut-butter-cup-sprinkled yumminess!

Ingredients

1
Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Pie Crust
1
cup very thick hot fudge sauce
1 1/2
cups dark chocolate chips
8
ounces cream cheese, softened
1
cup heavy whipping cream
1
cup very thick caramel ice cream sauce
2
cups whipped topping
1/4
cup chocolate-covered toffee bits
1/4
cup mini peanut butter cups

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Place pie crust in a pie tin. Fold edges of crust around the pie tin and flute, if desired. Poke bottom of crust with a fork a few times so it doesn't bubble during baking. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes until golden. Remove and cool completely.
  • 2 Spread hot fudge sauce in the bottom of the pie crust. Reserve 2 tablespoons of hot fudge for drizzling.
  • 3 Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until melted, about 60-90 seconds.
  • 4 Add melted chocolate chips, cream cheese, and whipping cream together in a stand mixer. Beat until thick and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • 5 Spoon chocolate mixture into the pie crust, atop the hot fudge layer.
  • 6 Drizzle caramel over the chocolate mixture, reserving 2 tablespoons of the caramel sauce for drizzling on top of the pie.
  • 7 Spoon whipped topping over the caramel sauce. Use a spatula to create decorative peaks. Drizzle extra hot fudge sauce and caramel sauce on top. Sprinkle with toffee bits and peanut butter cups.
  • 8 Place pie in freezer for 30-60 minutes to set it up quickly before serving. Enjoy!

Step By Step

You know if we named it Better Than Sex Pie, it's gotta be beyond good.

As prepared by Cheeky Kitchen,

Dig into this pie for Valentine's Day. Together. Or not. But do dig in.

I just checked my ‘Hot or Not’ rating, and it appears I’ve landed at a solid 5.60, which means 46 of 77 people think I’m hot.

Yesterday, Tinder was blowing up my phone. Another dating app installed by my tweens in their efforts to modernize me and find me my One True Human.

Mom dating is not hot. Put that in your app and swipe right. I’ve had to relearn how to dodge sloppy kisses, turn down marriage proposals, and rethink my approach to bearded lumberjacks. It’s weird.

Which is why I’m all sorts of glad that I’ve discovered something better than sex.

Pie.

This pie.

Having been out there, on location in the world of love, I can confidently report that you need this pie in your life more than you need bikini hot tub nights and awkward car conversations wherein you learn your date is passionate about large cats and hot-dog eating competitions.

Come, let us celebrate the simple perfection of pie instead!

Pre-bake a Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, then prepare to amaze your face.

Better Than Sex Pie

Start by spreading a rich dollop of thick, chocolatey hot fudge sauce over your cooled, pre-baked crust. Go for the good stuff – you want this bottom layer to wow your pants off.

Better Than Sex Pie

Now top it with a super-secret chocolate cream cheese ganache truffle filling. Yeah, we just did that. Chocolate. Cream Cheese. Ganache. Truffle. Meow meow. Filling.

Better Than Sex Pie

Caramel goes on top. Because, love. Again, buy the good pre-made stuff. The stuff in a glass bottle that barely wiggles when you turn the bottle upside-down – because it’s so hopelessly devoted to being caramel.

Better Than Sex Pie

Whipped topping goes on top. Then drizzle chocolate. Drizzle caramel. Sprinkle toffee bits. Sprinkle mini peanut butter cups. Freeze. Fork. Face.

Better Than Sex Pie

Now put away that Tinder app! True love hath already found you.
