Welcome your guests by serving these cheesy tartlets filled with apple and walnuts – ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

package (1.9 oz) frozen mini fillo shells (15 shells)
1
tablespoon butter or margarine
1
large Granny Smith apple, peeled, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
Dash ground nutmeg
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (2 oz)
Fresh thyme leaves, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. On ungreased cookie sheet, place fillo shells.
  • 2 In 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Cook apple in butter 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Remove from heat; stir in walnuts and nutmeg. Stir in blue cheese. Divide mixture evenly among fillo shells.
  • 3 Bake 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and tartlets are warm. Garnish with thyme.
Tips  

This recipe can easily be doubled for a crowd.
