    While you’re grating orange peel for this recipe, go ahead and grate the peel of 2 or 3 oranges. Wrap extra grated peel tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for later use.

Ingredients

  • Bread
  • 1/2  cup plus 1 tablespoon water
  • 3  tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1  egg
  • 3  cups Gold Medal® Better for Bread™ flour
  • 1/2  teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/4  cup granulated sugar
  • 2  tablespoons instant nonfat dry milk
  • 1 1/2  tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/4  teaspoons salt
  • 2  teaspoons bread machine or quick active dry yeast
  • Orange Glaze
  • 3/4  cup powdered sugar
  • 1  tablespoon orange juice

Directions

  1. 1Measure carefully, placing all bread ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. 2Select Sweet or Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Do not use delay cycle. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on cooling rack.
  3. 3In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth and spreadable. Spoon glaze over cooled loaf.
