Step By Step

Bananas coated with vanilla candy bark and covered with cereal.

As prepared by Party Pinching,

Want to be a hero? Then make these Breakfast Cereal Pops.

Seriously—if you’re hosting a brunch or wondering what to take to a party, you’ve gotta make these. I promise, they will be the first thing to go!

Everyone serves a boring egg casserole for brunch. Everyone brings the same old queso dip to a party. But cereal-coated banana pops? How fun is that?

To be more specific, these are bananas coated in vanilla candy bark and then rolled in your favorite breakfast cereal. Breakfast in a bite! The vanilla coating tastes like sweet milk, and when you add cereal and a banana, well, it’s just like a bowl of cereal… on a stick.

This is the perfect party snack, because who doesn’t love a bowl full of cereal? (And who doesn’t love eating food on a stick?)

So lose the bowl and spoon and let’s get started!

Grab your bananas, vanilla bark, and your favorite cereals. Our favorites are Cheerios®, Cookie Crisp® and Trix®. I was going to make some with Lucky Charms® too, but I have two teenage sons and they ate them all before I got to it. (Yes, they eat an entire box for breakfast.)

Peel the bananas and cut in half. Push a popsicle stick in the bottom of each banana half.

Melt vanilla bark according to package instructions. Dip the banana into the melted bark and tap the stick on the edge of the bowl to get all of the excess coating off.

Now the fun part! Put the pop on parchment paper and add cereal. You can neatly put each piece of cereal on your pop or just roll ‘em in a bowl full of cereal to coat.

Pop them into the fridge to set. 15 minutes and you’re ready to eat! They’re super delish frozen too.
