While almost everyone loves cereal, most people probably wouldn’t think to pair it with hot chocolate.
But it makes perfect sense and helps make a yummy flavor explosion in your mouth. At your next party, why not create a
Cereal Hot Chocolate Bar?
The combos are endless if you really start to think about it. I went with Reese’s Puffs, Cocoa Puffs, Golden Grahams, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch to make my cocoa cereal bar. Don’t forget to have whipped cream and marshmallows on hand as well!
To make the Cereal Hot Chocolate Bar:

Place each flavor of cereal into a SEPARATE plastic bag and seal. Using a rolling pin, roll across the bag, crushing the cereal. When all of the cereal is crushed, pour onto a clean plate. Do this with all four cereals (or however many you are making).

Place 1 cup chocolate chips on a microwave-safe plate and heat in 30 second increments until melted (the chips will still look like they hold shape, but once you touch them they will lose shape).
Do the same with the white chocolate chips.
Dip your cocoa cup rim side down into the chocolate and spin the the cup, so the rim gets covered in chocolate.

Then immediately dip your chocolate-covered rim into the cereal plate. In the same way you spun the cup around the chocolate, do the same with the cereal. You many need to use your hands and push some cereal up onto the sides.

Let the chocolate and cereal set up. You may need to put in fridge to speed up the process.

Here are the varieties that I used...
- Cookies and Cream: White Chocolate plus Cocoa Puffs… I added some crushed up cookies as well.
- Cinnamon Roll: White Chocolate plus Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- S'mores: Chocolate plus Golden Grahams… just add some marshmallows on top.
- Peanut Butter Cup: Chocolate plus Reese's Puffs… add peanut butter cups on top of whipped cream
Cereal…it’s not just for breakfast anymore!
