Crescents filled with salty cheese and bacon topped with sweet maple syrup make a great breakfast waffle.

Ingredients

cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
6
tablespoons finely chopped fontina or Gouda cheese
6
tablespoons crumbled cooked bacon
1
cup real maple syrup
2
tablespoons bourbon

Directions

  • 1 Heat waffle maker. Remove dough from cans (do not unroll). Cut each roll of dough into 6 rounds, making a total of 12 rounds.
  • 2 Press each round until 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Place 1 tablespoon cheese and 1 tablespoon bacon on each of 6 rounds. Top each with another round; press lightly.
  • 3 Spray waffle maker with cooking spray. Place stacked rounds on waffle maker; close lid. Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining stacked rounds.
  • 4 In small pitcher, mix syrup and bourbon. Serve warm waffles with syrup.
Tips  

Try different cheeses for a flavor twist—Brie, Cheddar or Swiss.
