These biscuits offer a warm and cheesy alternative to crackers as a soup partner. During baking, a little bit of cheese may pop out of the cuts in the biscuit tops.

Ingredients

1
(12-oz.) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
2 1/2
oz. American or Cheddar cheese, cut into ten 3/4-inch cubes
1
tablespoon milk
1
teaspoon sesame, caraway or poppy seed

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Partially separate each biscuit into 2 layers; insert 1 cheese cube. Press edge to seal well. Place filled biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 2 Cut a deep "X" on top of each biscuit. Brush with milk; sprinkle with sesame seed.
  • 3 Bake at 400°F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
