  • 1  pkg. Hungry Jack® Hash Brown Potatoes
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2  cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2  lb. ground beef
  • 1/2  cup chopped onion or 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
  • 1  teaspoon seasoned salt or salt
  • 1/4  teaspoon seasoned pepper or pepper
  • 2  cups (17-oz. can) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1  (10 3/4-oz.) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1  cup (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar or American cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first three ingredients; stir well. Cover; let stand 10 minutes. In 10-inch skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain if necessary. Stir in salt, pepper, corn and soup; pour mixture into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Stir cheese into potatoes; spoon over meat mixture. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Refrigerate any leftovers.
