Swap out your dog for a brat in this fun twist on the classic crescent dog.

Ingredients

8
refrigerated fully cooked bratwurst
4
slices Cheddar cheese, each cut into 6 strips
1
can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/3
cup sauerkraut, drained and patted dry
Coarse-grained mustard, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Slit brats to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit.
  • 2 Separate dough into 8 triangles. Spread 2 teaspoons sauerkraut on short end of each dough triangle. Wrap 1 dough triangle around each bratwurst. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
  • 3 Bake 14 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with mustard.
Tips

Cover and refrigerate any remaining crescent dogs, and serve within 3 days.

Use hot dogs in place of the bratwurst.
