Ingredients

  • STUFFING
  • 1/4  cup chopped onion
  • 1/4  cup chopped celery
  • 1  (10-oz.) can peeled chestnuts, drained, quartered
  • 3  cups cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 1  teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4  teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider or juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion and celery; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in chestnuts; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add stuffing mix, 1 teaspoon salt, allspice and pepper; mix lightly. Add apple cider; mix just until moistened.

  2. Spoon stuffing into 2 qt greases baking dish. Cover with foil and bake 25-30 minutes, or until brown.
