This quick and easy version of shortcakes has an added bonus: chocolate.

Ingredients

package Pillsbury™ Simply…™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies
1 1/2
to 2 cups whipped topping
1 1/2
cups sliced fresh strawberries

Directions

  • 1 Bake cookies as directed on package. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack; cool completely.
  • 2 To make shortcakes, top 6 cookies with whipped topping. Arrange a few strawberry slices on top of whipped topping. Top with remaining cookies.
Tips  

You can use any ready-to-bake Pillsbury™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies, if you don't have a package of Pillsbury™ Simply…™ refrigerated chocolate chip cookies.

Other fresh fruit can be used instead of the sliced strawberries.

If you prefer, you can place the strawberry shortcakes in the freezer and you have chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches!
