This elegant dessert combines brownie mix and preserves to add the refreshing tart-sweet taste of raspberry to rich chocolate in any season.

Ingredients

1
package Betty Crocker™ Supreme chocolate chunk brownie mix
3
tablespoons water
1/2
cup vegetable oil
2
eggs
1/2
to 1 cup seedless raspberry preserves
1/2
cup finely chopped almonds
Whole blanched or sliced almonds, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottom only of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  • 2 Stir brownie mix, water, oil and eggs in medium bowl about 50 strokes or until well blended. Spread evenly in pan.
  • 3 Bake 26 to 28 minutes (bake 22 to 26 minutes if using glass or dark nonstick metal pan). While brownies are hot, carefully top with raspberry preserves. Let stand a few minutes to soften; spread.
  • 4 Sprinkle with chopped almonds. Top with whole almonds (one for each brownie). Cool completely for easier cutting. For 18 brownies, cut into 6 rows by 3 rows.
Tips

Make it à la mode! Top warm slices of this tempting brownie dessert with rich French vanilla ice cream.
