cup flour
4 eggs

8 ounce package cream cheese, softened

3.4 ounce box instant french vanilla pudding
2
cups cold milk

8 ounce container cool whip OR homemade whipped cream
chocolate syrup, like Hershey's OR homemade chocolate sauce

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease a 9X13 glass baking dish. Set aside.
  • 2 In a medium sauce pan, heat water and butter until boiling. Remove from heat. Slowly stir in flour and sugar, incorporating well with each addition. Add in each egg, again incorporating well until combined.
  • 3 Spread mixture (it will be thick) into prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cake will have bubbles and non-uniform appearance. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.
  • 4 Meanwhile, whip cream cheese using an electric blender. In a small bowl, combine pudding mix and cold milk. (Follow the directions on the box.) Once pudding is thick, combine with whipped cream cheese.
  • 5 Spread pudding/cream cheese mixture over cooled cake. Top with cool whip/whipped cream. Drizzle cake with chocolate syrup. Refrigerate for 2 hours before enjoying.
