Enjoy these truffles made with chocolate and stout beer – a perfect Christmas dessert.

Ingredients

cup dark stout beer
16
oz dark baking chocolate, chopped
1/3
cup powdered sugar
2
tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa

Directions

  • 1 In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave beer uncovered on High 1 minute or until hot. Place the chocolate in medium heatproof bowl. Pour beer over chocolate; let stand 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Cover; refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  • 2 Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. Scoop rounded teaspoonfuls of chocolate mixture; roll lightly to shape into 1-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until firm.
  • 3 In small bowl, mix powdered sugar and cocoa. Dip truffles, one at a time, in cocoa mixture to coat. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to 3 days.
Tips  

Use rubber gloves to avoid messy hands when rolling these truffles.
