Like a lot of cooks, you probably tweak recipes slightly to suit your family's tastes and diets. A little extra spice here... sub low-fat sour cream there...

Cook, drain and rinse macaroni as directed on package.
In a food processor, place all ingredients except pasta and tomatoes. Process until smooth. Brown 1/2 cup pine nuts in a saute pan with a little olive oil.
Place pasta in large serving bowl, pour pesto over pasta and toss until coated. Add tomatoes and browned pine nuts. Serve warm.
