Candy coating mixed with cranberries and macadamia nuts – a delicious dessert treat.

Ingredients

1
(1 to 1 1/4-lb.) pkg. vanilla-flavored candy coating or almond bark, cut into pieces
1/2
cup sweetened dried cranberries or dried cherries
1
(3.25-oz.) jar macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

Directions

  • 1 Line cookie sheet with foil. Melt candy coating in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • 2 Stir in cranberries and nuts. Spread on foil-lined cookie sheet. Cool 45 minutes or until completely cooled. Break bark into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Store in tightly covered container.
Tips

Use your favorite nut in this bark recipe; toasted walnut halves pair especially well with dried cranberries, cherries or raisins.

If you're multi-tasking and don't have time to stir the candy coating, try the melting method. Heat the oven to 200°F. After a few minutes, turn the oven off and place the cut-up coating in a heart resistant bowl in the oven. Periodically, stir the coating until it is completely melted.
