Ingredients

  • 3 3/4  cups water
  • 1/4  teaspoon salt
  • 2  cups rolled oats
  • 1/2  cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2  cup chopped dried apricots
  • 1/2  cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1  cup skim milk

Directions

  1. In large saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil. Add oats, cranberries, apricots and 1/4 cup of the brown sugar. Return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

  2. Remove saucepan from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Serve sprinkled with remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and milk.
