This elegant dish, with its creamy, slightly sweet sauce, serves twelve and is perfect for a buffet meal.

Ingredients

tablespoons oil

lb. boneless veal, cut into 1-inch pieces

medium onion, chopped

teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon dried marjoram leaves

teaspoon pepper

cups water

cup apple juice
3
cups sliced carrots

cups frozen sweet peas

oz. (12 cups) uncooked egg noodles

cup all-purpose flour

cup half-and-half

Directions

  • 1 Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add veal; cook and stir until browned. Stir in onion, salt, marjoram, pepper, water and apple juice. Bringing to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes.
  • 2 Add carrots. Cover; simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until carrots are tender. Stir in peas; simmer an additional 5 minutes.
  • 3 Meanwhile, cook noodles to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain.
  • 4 In small bowl, combine flour and half-and-half; blend until smooth. Carefully add to veal mixture; cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Serve over noodles.
