When you throw a lot of parties like I do, you're always looking for new appetizer ideas. Almost every party has meatballs at them in some way or another. These beyond yummy Crescent Wrapped Cheesy Meatballs will make you never want a plain old meatball again!
Meat. Cheese. Bread. Sauce. Need I say more.
Place ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, water, Parmesan cheese, and salt in pepper into a large bowl.
Using your hands (it really is the way that works best) mix together the meatball mixture until it fully comes together.
When it’s fully mixed it will look something like this.
Roll the meatball mixture into 16 meatballs, about golf ball size.
Flatten out the meatball a little and place a cube of Havarti cheese in the middle of the flattened meatball.
Form a new meatball around the cube of Havarti. Do your best to make sure there are no holes (though some cheese will ooze out regardless of how well you do this step).
Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350ºF.
Once baked and cooled enough to touch, place the meatball into a flat crescent roll dough.
Wrap the crescent roll around the cooked meatball completely. Turn oven up to 375ºF and bake for another 10-12 minutes until the wrapped meatballs are golden brown.
Place the warm wrapped meatballs onto a plate of marinara sauce.
Serve warm and enjoy.
