Crock Pot Cream Chesse Chicken

Simple, easy, kid and budget friendly. So basic it can easily be added to in any number of ways. Just use your imagination and your families likes and dislikes! Reduced fat versions work well too!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 10.75 ounce Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom Condensed soup
  • 1 10.75 ounce can Chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or more to taste
  • 8 ounces cream cheese - softened
  • hot cooked rice or egg noodles

Directions

  1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Place chicken in bottom of a crockpot.

  2. 2 cans of soup with broth and mix well. add garlic powder. p

  3. pour soup mixture over chicken.

  4. cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3.

  5. 15 minutes before done remove chicken and add softened cream cheese in chucks. Whisk until the sauce is smooth. (I usually shred or chop the chicken at this point, but you can leave it whole too). I taste it to check the seasoning and adjust accordingly.

  6. Serve over hot rice or egg noodles.

    I can't wait to try this! It sounds like Pollo a la Crema at my favorite Mexican restaurant. If it is even close I will love it.
