  • Lemon, sliced orange or lime*

Steps

  • 1
Pour water into a pitcher (allow room for fruit).
  • 2
Wash lemon, lime or orange. Do not peel.
  • 3
    Slice in 1/4 inch slices.
  • 4
Add 4 or 6 slices to water and place pitcher in refrigerator for about two hours.
  • 5
Remove fruit and enjoy the flavored water as it is, or over ice. If you prefer stronger flavor, let steep in refrigerator longer and/or add more fruit.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
Experiment with other fresh fruits and flavors. If you like berries, freeze strawberries, raspberries and blueberries and infuse those in water for two hours. Fresh mint steeped in cold water is a refreshing way to enjoy your H20 intake on a hot day. Experiment with different flavor combinations, too -- like strawberries and lemons or mint and lime. As you do this more, you'll find the flavors, combinations and amounts that are you enjoy most!
