Tips & Techniques

  • Do-Ahead Tip

Bake and freeze Easy Snowflake Buns up to 3 months ahead of time. Heat the frozen rolls in a 350°F oven just before serving.

  • Time Saver

Use a small resealable plastic food-storage bag for a quick, disposable decorating bag. Spoon the flour mixture into the bag, cut the tip off one corner, and pipe the mixture onto the dough.

Ingredients

  • 1  package (13.5 ounces) frozen dinner roll dough
  • 3  tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
  • 3/4  teaspoon hot water
  • 3  tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

Directions

  1. 1Grease round pan, 9x1 1/2 inches. Arrange 8 balls of dough evenly around outside of pan; place 4 balls in center. Cover and let thaw and rise in warm place 2 to 3 hours or as directed on package.
  2. 2Heat oven to 350º F. Mix flour, butter and hot water. Place in decorating bag with #4 writing tip. Pipe mixture onto center of each ball in snowflake design, 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  3. 3Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately lift buns from pan (do not turn upside down). Serve warm.
