Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup uncooked Long Grain White Rice
  • 2 1 Cabbage Head-rinsed
  • 3 1 egg- slightly beaten
  • 4 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 5 1 Medium Onion - chopped
  • 6 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 7 1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper
  • 8 1 28 OZ. Can Crushed Tomatoes-1/4 C reserved

Directions

  1. Place cabbage in microwave and cook on high about 6 minutes.Let cool slightly and remove softened leaves. repeat this step until you have about 14-16 leaves.

  2. Mix beef, onion, rice, 1/4 C Reserved Tomatoes, Salt & Pepper and beaten egg. Roll into small, fat sausage shapes.

  3. Roll up in leaves and tuck in sides as you roll. Toothpicks can be used.

  4. Place in bakind dish and cover with crushed Tomatoes.

  5. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr.
