    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground turkey
    • 1/2  small white onion, finely diced
    • 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1  egg
    • 1 pinch salt and pepper
    • 2 cans Progresso Recipe Starters Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/4 cup torn fresh basil (optional)

    Directions

    1. 1Combine ground turkey, diced onion, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, paprika, egg, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Use a spoon (or your fingers) to stir and mix until well-combined.
    2. 2Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter. (The recipe should make 28-32 meatballs.)
    3. 3Meanwhile, heat the tomato sauce in a large, deep skillet (or stockpot) over medium-high heat until simmering. Stir in the smoked paprika and basil, and reduce heat to medium-low. Add the meatballs in a single layer, coating with the sauce. Cover and let simmer for about 30 minutes, turning the meatballs once or twice.
    4. 4Serve meatballs with the remaining sauce and garnish with extra fresh basil if desired.
