Turn the catch of the day into a tasty entrée for four in only 20 minutes.

Ingredients

1
egg
1/2
cup Progresso™ Italian style bread crumbs
3
tablespoons olive oil
1
lb mild-flavored fish fillets (about 1/2 inch thick), cut into 4 serving pieces
1/3
cup tartar sauce
1/4
cup chopped tomato
1/2
teaspoon dried basil leaves

Directions

  • 1 In shallow dish or pie plate, beat egg with wire whisk. In another shallow dish or pie plate, place bread crumbs.
  • 2 In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Dip fish into egg, then coat with bread crumbs; place in skillet. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until browned on both sides and fish flakes easily with fork.
  • 3 In small bowl, mix tartar sauce, tomato and basil; serve with fish.
Tips

Fish that would work well in this recipe include cod, walleye, perch, sole or any other mild flavored fillets.
