Enjoy your dinner with these pork ribs flavored with soy and hoisin sauce – perfect if you love Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

2 1/2
lb pork spareribs, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/3
cup apple cider
1
cup ketchup
3
tablespoons honey
2
tablespoons soy sauce
1
tablespoon hoisin sauce
2
teaspoons dark sesame oil
1/2
teaspoon five-spice powder
2
tablespoons green onions, sliced, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 300°F. Line broiler pan with foil; spray foil with cooking spray. Sprinkle riblets with salt; arrange in single layer on pan. Pour apple cider into pan. Cover tightly with foil. Bake about 3 hours or until tender and no longer pink next to bones.
  • 2 In 1-quart saucepan, mix ketchup, honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil and five-spice powder. Heat to simmering over low heat; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Brush ribs with half of the sauce; bake uncovered 30 minutes longer or until sauce thickens on ribs. Serve with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with green onions.
Tips

Have your local butcher cut pork spareribs across the bone to form these small riblets.
