Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix, prepared according to package directions
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps

  • 1
Preheat the oven according to the brownie package directions and grease a 13x9-inch pan.
  • 2
Stir the mini marshmallows into the prepared brownie batter. Add to the 13x9-inch pan and tap gently to spread out evenly.
  • 3
Microwave the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave for an additional 20 seconds, until thinned out. Drizzle over the top of the brownie batter all over.
  • 4
Bake, according to package directions. The brownies will not take any longer than usual to make, so check at the short end of the time for doneness, using a toothpick to test the center.
  • 5
Allow to cool fully before cutting.

More About This Recipe

  • Fluffer-whaters? You read it right -- fluffy marshmallows doin' the tango with peanut butter in brownies. Totally irresistible!

Ever since I introduced my kids to fluffernutter sandwiches a few years ago, they have been devoted fans. And I can’t blame them … I love the sweet combination of peanut butter and marshmallows. It’s an ooey-gooey treat.

But why should the delightful marshmallow-peanut butter combination be confined to sandwiches? Why can’t this treat become a super treat -– like a hey-great-job-on-the-test treat or an I’m-so-proud-of-you treat?

It can! Fluffernutter Brownies are the kind of sweet and easy treat that will totally delight your kids (adults too!) without requiring crazy amounts of cooking.

In fact, these take a mere 10 minutes to whip up. Then it’s bake, cool, cut and enjoy.

But I have to warn you  -– it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t – these brownies aren’t going to elicit a normal yum response. No, it’ll be something way more dramatic than that like a whoop or even a scuffle over the leftovers.

Those in your house with a sweet tooth will devour the fudgy brownie with a hint of marshmallow goodness topped with a drizzled layer of creamy peanut butter. Once you go fluffernutter, you won’t go back.
