1/2
package (2-ounce size) onion soup mix (1 envelope)
1
tablespoon dry sherry, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Place meatballs in 4- to 6-quart slow cooker. Mix gravy, soup mix (dry) and sherry in medium bowl. Pour over meatballs; stir gently to mix.
  • 2 Cover and cook on low heat setting 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes or until meatballs are hot. Meatballs will hold on low heat setting up to 2 hours.
Tips

If you have a favorite recipe for meatballs, use it instead of the frozen meatballs. Simply shape the meatball mixture into 72 appetizer-size balls. Cook the meatballs thoroughly, then combine them with the sauce ingredients in the slow cooker.

You can turn this easy appetizer into a satisfying meal. Serve the meatballs over egg noodles, rice or couscous and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Add steamed green beans and a salad of fresh sliced tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with shredded or shaved Parmesan cheese.
