Bake these delicious latte squares for dessert using Gold Medal® all-purpose flour.

Ingredients

cups whipping cream
1/4
cup coffee-flavored liqueur
1/2
cup chocolate-flavor syrup
1
cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2
cup firm butter or margarine
1/2
cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, place whipping cream, liqueur and chocolate-flavor syrup; refrigerate.
  • 2 In medium bowl, place flour. Cut in butter using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until evenly mixed. Stir in walnuts. In bottom of ungreased 9-inch square pan, press mixture evenly. Bake about 15 minutes or until light brown. Cool completely.
  • 3 Beat whipping cream mixture with electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form; spread over crust. Cover and freeze at least 4 hours or until firm but no longer than 48 hours.
  • 4 Cut into about 3-inch squares. Store in freezer.
Tips  

One tablespoon Italian-style flavored instant coffee mix (dry) can be substituted for the coffee-flavored liqueur. Add to the whipping cream and syrup.
